Quibbling was published in 1992 by Eastgate Systems, Inc., and is copyrighted by that organization. Quibbling is a large hypertext fiction, consisting of 662 lexias and 1,064 links. Twice that many links might have been placed, but because I came to believe that thoroughly linking everything would induce readers merely to follow me around in the text, I put in this work only the links that were the result of my actually reading it. They are reader's links. The rest of the conceptually linked themes, motifs, etc., are left for other readers besides myself to make what they will. In the published work, readers are encouraged to navigate the considerable landscape of Quibbling by using the map of the fiction provided by the Storyspace Reader, the form in which it appears.
In this small sample, only 19 lexias are gathered along a theme, a minor motif within the larger work. There is one new element added just for this sample version.
