Markarian joined in marriage on March 12, 1921 Iskouhi Parounagian and Leon Franguelian in Trinity Church, Binghamton, New York Together they had three children: Alice Agnes was born on January 19, 1922. A teacher of English (retired), she taught school for 27 years. She married Harry J. Tashjian, on July 22, 1950. Edward was born on August 30, 1924. A journalist, he was news editor (retired) for the Philadelphia Inquirer. He married Doris Lyon, on May 16, 1959. Leon Hovaness, Jr. was born on November 29, 1926. He ran the Empire Cleaners and attended Wesley Theological Seminary. He now serves as a minister in the United Methodist Church. He married Dorothy Wallace, on October 7, 1944 They also had Ten Grandchildren and Seventeen Great Grandchildren |
